Michael Jackson代表了一个时代，在这个时代里，他一直处于登峰造极的高度，在他之下，无人能够企及，更不要说超越。他是真正的King of POP，领导了近20年的流行乐风格。他是20世纪下半叶获奖最多的音乐家，7次葛莱美奖，5次全美音乐协会年度大奖，他演唱或主唱的歌曲有18首是第一名，歌迷数亿。这个曾是整整一代青年人的精神图腾和青春符号，这个像活在世间之外的传奇人物，终于在2003年，摧枯拉朽般地全面坍塌，事业、名誉、金钱、家庭、容貌等等全面崩溃，速度之快、范围之广，堪称全世界之最。现在迈克尔·杰克逊犹如“破四旧”时被打倒的神像，任人践踏、辱骂、嘲笑、控诉、翻老底……这个曾经是几亿人的全球偶像，就这么垮了。是谁毁了迈克尔·杰克逊？是他的不良嗜好？还是他不能自己的一次又一次的“毁容”？或是那些见钱眼开、非要挖出他底细的媒体记者？这些都不是我们要探讨的范围，对于我来说，只有他的音乐是我关心的，其他的东西我不会在意。当然，我丝毫不会掩饰对M.J.作品的喜爱，甚至是偏爱，所以，这次的M.J.专题将会很长，大概会选出10首左右的歌曲。不过那些耳熟能详的，比如《Bad》《Beat It》《Thriller》等大多不会收录，而重点给大家展示的是那些曾经被大众和娱乐界所忽视或较少涉及的曲目。
