又是一个没听说过的！Bob Marley(鲍勃·马雷)死于1981年，癌症使他在生命的最后阶段越发枯瘦，黝黑的皮肤渐失光泽，但却流露出更为强悍的姿态——用歌声带给人快乐，并为公正而斗争。这样的一生足以使任何一位歌者在死神面前保持尊严。牙买加总统参加了他的葬礼，在十年多来发行的几种邮票上，Bob Marley以人民之子和斗士的形象出现，深为他的同胞敬佩。尽管在上世纪70年代末，人们普遍把Reggae(雷鬼音乐)和当时最为愤怒的Punk Rock(朋克摇滚)联系在一起，称之为“无产者之声”，但Bob Marley 1966年以来所做的，却是在自由，快乐的音乐中找寻真理。这位来自第三世界的艺术家在美国并不孤独，他和其他人一起，把加勒比海一带的音乐和美国黑人音乐结合在一起，创造出新的雷鬼音乐流派。“雷鬼之父”Bob Marley的一生都沉浸在这种向上涌起，跃动的节奏中，他的带有异国风情的旋律，音乐中明丽的色彩和让每个人都想跳舞的活力让整个世界都听到了自由。
