育碧之所以开始这么装13是因为这周他们拿到了MVC的年度大奖。
Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot believes that his company has the power to become the world’s biggest third-party game publisher.
Speaking to MCV, Guillemot said that the decision by rival Electronic Arts to sell off its 20 percent stake in Ubisoft “changed lots of things for us. We had a competitor owning a share of the company and we were always wary that they could decide they would go for the company – and that wouldn’t have been welcome.”
Now that EA is out of the picture, Ubisoft can try to become a bigger company, Guillemot said: “So now we are totally independent again. We feel a lot better. We are number three, and our goal is to beat those guys, EA and Activision, at some point.”
And how does Ubisoft plan to do that?
“We have to create the products that will fuel the growth. I’m not saying we won’t do acquisitions, but the focus is on creating products,” he added.
Ubisoft won the Grand Prix at MCV’s industry awards this week. |
