[业界] 雷吉:炮轰Move/Kinect游戏匮乏

Recently, Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime was quizzed about the competition in the gaming industry. Fils-Aime was asked if he believes the time is right for a new round of consoles in light of rumors about the successors to the PlayStation 3/Xbox 360.

He responded by pointing to two Nintendo systems (3DS and Wii U) that were created once developers began having ideas that couldn’t be realized on current hardware. He also wondered how Nintendo’s competitors will innovate and provide new experiences, while also taking a quick jab at Move/Kinect. He indicated that Sony/Microsoft haven’t been providing interesting content for the peripherals.

Fils-Aime’s full response can be found below:

“From Nintendo’s perspective, we set the timing of a new console launch when we have ideas that our current products can’t put into pracice. A good example is the 3DS: when we imagined games like ‘Super Mario 3D Land’, which is a fun title that really needed that 3D perspective, that’s when we said it was time to invest in a new system. With Wii U, we imagined what could be done with two different screens.

“After our competitors become aware of what Nintendo can make, how will they innovate? How will they bring new experiences to consumers that can only be made possible with another system? You know, perhaps speaking from the perspective of our performance in the U.S., even after our competitors launched their motion devices, after the initial excitement, where were the games, the great experiences? They have been slow in putting this into practice.

“For consumers, the question is: where are the truly innovative experiences on the market? I think we’re innovating with the 3DS and we believe we will do that with Wii U as well.”

任天堂北美总裁大猩猩雷吉(Reggie Fils-Aime )13日接受gaming industry采访,问及了对索尼和微软下一代主机传闻的看法,雷吉已自家产品(3ds、wiiu)阐述任天堂的创新,疑虑对手能否同样提供新体验,批评对手公司Move/Kinect缺乏游戏内容等等问题。
雷吉说道:
对于任天堂来说,如果现役主机不能满足我们的创意需求时,我们就会推出新硬件。马里奥3D就是一个绝逼最佳例子,游戏性的乐趣要求3d功能,所以有了3ds的诞生。至于WiiU,我们可以想象双屏幕带来的创意体验



在竞争对手看到任天堂的产品后,他们怎么来创新?他们如何凭空带来新体验而没有必要的新硬件来支持?就北美地区我们的表现来讲,就算我们的竞争对手发售了类似的体感设备,那么他们的崭新兴奋度在哪?游戏大作在哪?他们只会怠慢地光说不练


对于消费者层面来讲,我们疾呼的是:市场上哪里才有真正的创新的游戏性体验?我想我们3ds是真正的创新,同样会发生在WiiU上
